Proudly presents
A piano duet
by Grammy Award winning pianists Gerald Clayton and Tamir Hendelman
in the first benefit concert for the
MoKA.
Proceeds from "A Duet for MoKA" will help fund the new jazz
education program that begins in January 2012.
In the spirit of the classic piano duet "
An Evening
with Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea
", "A Duet for
MoKA" promises to be memorable entertainment for a very worthy cause.
Gerald
Clayton
distills the
wide-ranging influences to which he's been exposed, while knowing "the right
moment to get spunky like Monty Alexander and thoughtful like Ron Barron." He
returns to Rochester riding the crest of a very recent Grammy nomination for his
latest CD, "Bond - The Paris Sessions." Adding to
two prior
Grammy nominations, Clayton affirms recent Downbeat polls - 2010 Critic's
Poll "Rising Piano Star" and 2008 Reader's Poll for "Top Up and Coming
Pianist".

Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra. Having recorded with Diana Krall, Gladys
Knight, John Pizzarelli, Natalie Cole and Barbara Streisand, Hendelman has

his engaging melodic and rhythmic dynamism fuel his growing
